Since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa in 1990, Christiaan has pursued an international career in accountancy. To date he has spent time working in senior positions for Deloitte & Touche in their offices based in Pretoria, Brussels, Luxembourg and Jersey.
As a consequence, Christiaan is not only fluent in four languages but he is also very well versed in international accountancy practices and tax planning issues. Whilst working as Group Financial Controller for Insinger in Jersey, Christiaan gained valuable commercial accounting experience, particularly through assisting in their corporate restructuring and strategic IT programmes. More recently Christiaan has worked as a Trust Manager for Royal Bank of Canada. Through his appointment as a Director of Andium Trust Company Limited in 2002 Christiaan has brought his breadth of experience to the Company.
Christiaan is married and enjoys spending his time away from work travelling in France and South Africa. He has a keen interest in computers and economics and he regularly participates in long distance running events.
